Twika set to train motorclyclists in Dar

TWIKA has seen a need and importance of addressing this issue to minimize the bad effects the government is experiencing due to those who are dying in these accidents leaving orphans & widows and those sustaining injuries becoming physically disabled hence increasing burden to the nation and families by taking care of orphans, widows, and disabled contributing to the increasing level of poverty burden our nation is carrying.
In collaboration with Tanzania Police Force, Twika is set to organizing a three day awareness workshop next month at three districts of Ilala, Temeke and Kinondoni whereby 900 motorbikes and tricyclistswould be trained on road safety education and the way forward to minimize the rise of motorbikes accident across the country.
The objectives of the workshop include a survey to identifying Bajaj and Motorbike business cyclist groups and providing awareness on road safety for training three topics of legal position of tricycles and motorcycles as a public transportation mode, the road safety precautions (riding skills) and report on the magnitude of the vice from police force and medical department.
